Sheet
In order to handle sheets gently and safely, for single sheets or packs, the magnets must have a deep magnetic field that can also be fine controlled.
It ensures that the resulting lifting forces penetrate a large area of the material precisely dosed. Pressure marks and edge dents which are detrimental to the sheets' quality are thus prevented. Desired quantities can be selected efficiently and moved safely.
Applications
TRUNINGER manufactures custom-made magnetic lifting systems tailored for storing and order picking in steel warehouses. We also offer technical solutions for the following processes within the warehouse or plant:

Transporting sheet packs
Handling quick and gentle
Well designed magnets provide finely dosed lifting forces distributed over a large contact area. On one hand, this prevents pressure marks and edge damages impairing the sheet quality. On the other hand, partial quantities can efficiently be selected and safely be handled.
And, of course, the magnet system can be used to transport single sheets as well as sheet packs. Packs allow to handle significantly larger quantities per lift compared to loose stacks of sheets.

For safe transport of sheet packs, deep penetration of the magnetic field into the packs is required. TRUNINGER provides magnet systems specialized for sheet packs fitted with magnets designed for this purpose. However, the magnetic field may not penetrate a pack down to the lowest sheet; some of the sheets will be carried mechanically by the strapping.
Important: Highly adaptable!
Material handling procedures require magnet systems to be highly adaptable to the material and to the material flow.
It is essential that the distances between the magnets are adapted to the lengths of the sheets in order to minimize deflection and optimize load distribution among the magnets. Only this way safe transport of the material can be guaranteed.
Rotation of the magnet beam allows packs to be aligned to lorries, machines or warehouse stacks.

TRUNINGER design features
TRUNINGER designs and manufactures lifting magnet systems for handling sheet packs of all sizes.
- Multi-purpose spreader beams and tailored magnet designs are key features of TRUNINGER magnet systems.
- The magnet beam is adaptable to the relevant material lengths. Three types of beam used are: fixed beams with movable magnet groups (see figure 1), compact active telescopes (see figure 2) and lightweight passive telescopes (see figure 3).
- Motorised movement of the magnets to suit different material lengths. This minimises load deflection and guarantees safe transport.
- Load slewing device allows to align the packs to the material flow process (see figure 1).
- With TRUNINGER magnet systems the lifting force can be finely adjusted, thus enabling even thin steel sheets to be separated.
